Miami Dolphins use first sixth-round pick to select Commanders Sensational Ace To Help In…

The Miami Dolphins hold two picks in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The first pick is in.

The Miami Dolphins have already made two picks on day three of the 2024 NFL Draft, trading into the fourth round to select running back Jaylen Wright, then using a fifth-round pick on edge rusher Mohamed Kamara. As the draft moves into the sixth round, the Dolphins have used the eight pick in the selection period, the 184th-overall pick, to add Virginia wide receiver Malik Washington.

Washington gives Miami a slot receiver and could find himself working as the third-option behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. It is an area of need for the Dolphins, and Washington, who caught 110 passes last year at Virginia, could be the exact right player to fill the role.

Miami has two sixth-round picks this year and will be back on the clock with the 198th overall selection.

The Draft for the Dolphins started with the selection of Penn State edge rusher Chop Robinson, followed by Houston tackle Patrick Paul in the second round. The team forfeit their third-round pick for violations of the league’s anti-tampering rules. They were not scheduled to have a fourth-round pick, having sent their selection to the Denver Broncos as part of the 2022 trade for Bradley Chubb, but they used a 2025 third-round pick to gain the 120th pick this year, selecting Wright. Kamara was the 158th overall pick.

The Dolphins remaining picks are 198 and 241.
