Paul Merson says Crystal Palace players are Facing alot of Scary Injuries As They Battle With Fulham
Paul Merson is back with another Crystal Palace prediction, and as he so often gets it right, we’re inclined to follow his verdict.
Barely 48 hours on from beating Newcastle, another game is already on the doorstep for Crystal Palace.
For Oliver Glasner though, the past three games being so good will have him wanting to play every single day as his side is on fire.
Wednesday saw Palace batter Newcastle 2-0 in what was a dominant and comfortable win which never looked in doubt.
Ahead of facing Fulham, Paul Merson has now shared his prediction for the game while heaping praise onto some players.
Let’s find out what he’s said.
Paul Merson raves over England’s most improved player Jean-Philippe-Mateta
Writing his predictions column for SportsKeeda on Friday ahead of this weekend’s action, Merson had to start off by giving one player his flowers.
The player he picked out was of course Mateta who he has labelled as “the most improved footballer in England this season”.
Mateta absolutely would be nominated for a ‘Most Improved’ award, he’s done a 180 in terms of his Premier League career and now looks likely to continue ripping it up, with Glasner even revealing one of the reasons behind his improvements.
But it wasn’t just Mateta who got handed praise with his two attacking partners Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise also both in line to be lauded.
Merson explained that these two are “complete and utter mavericks who can win any football match on their own!”
As is expected now though at Palace in the build-up to facing Fulham, it seems the trio will be split up once more, with Eze a doubt for the game according to Glasner.
Continuing his piece, Merson then moved on to this weekend’s game and made his prediction for the scoreline.
One thing he seems sure of is that there will be multiple goals in a score draw.
“Both teams will want to go out and play attacking football, so this game could have a handful of goals.”
Rounding up his prediction, Merson added a scoreline prediction. He has suggested a 2-2 draw will be the result, one which would keep the unbeaten run going.
This has coincided with the return of Michael Olise who played a big part in the 5-2 Crystal Palace win on Sunday especially.
With Olise and Eberechi Eze the bonafide starters, it seems Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp are Glasner’s top choices to play as the backup.

This is all well and good, but it leaves one player out in the cold with no real position in the squad. Now Glasner has commented on him.
