REPORT: The Pittsburgh Steelers Had a Top-30 Visit With a Top Offensive Prospect.

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a mediocre offensive last season, allowing the 14th-most hits, the 21st-most pressures, the 11th-highest pressure percentage, the 24th-most sacks, and the 17th-highest pass block win rate.

The Steelers released C Mason Cole and RT Chukwuma Okorafor during the offseason, leaving two vacancies on their offensive line.

If the season started today, the Steelers’ starting lineup would include LT Dan Moore Jr., LG Isaac Seumalo, C Nate Herbig, RG James Daniels, and RT Broderick Jones.

Despite having two vacancies, the biggest question mark is what the Steelers will do with Jones. Jones started at LT in college but replaced Okorafor at RT last season.

Mel Kiper Jr. refers to Barton as a “plug and play” at the center position.

“They’ve had centers and anchors of those lines that have been there forever and have done great jobs, and now they gotta get that guy. And Graham Barton from Duke could be that guy,” Kiper

said. “He’s a former tackle. He played center early on…He’s a plug-and-play center for [Russell] Wilson or [Justin] Fields or both, ’cause I think both will play. So yeah, I would think you gotta get that anchor.”
