Joy Taylor Reveals ‘Realistic’ Expectations For Aaron Rodgers.

Things were supposed to be different for the New York Jets during the 2023 season.

After adding Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback, many expected the Jets to make a big run to the playoffs, breaking their team’s drought of more than ten years.

However, his Achilles injury prevented him from showcasing what he could do with this offense, and the team never found their footing without him on the gridiron.

Rodgers’ injury could have subdued Jets fans’ expectations for the 2024 season, but it seems that the majority of people are ready to see what Rodgers can do at full health in 2024.

These expectations might seem lofty, and Joy Taylor sat down to talk about them in a recent segment of “Speak” on FS1.

While some people are hopeful and expectant that Rodgers will lead the team to the playoffs, Taylor has an alternate viewpoint.

She said that she hopes for a game where Rodgers “throws for over 300 yards,” also adding that the Jets should, in theory, “be sniffing around the playoffs.

Taylor and the ‘Speak’ crew also highlighted the fact that Tom Brady is a true anomaly.

He played elite football into his 40s, something fans have not seen from Rodgers to this point.

This is another reason for Taylor to be cautious in her optimism, as Rodgers might not be the spring chicken he used to be, especially after a grueling injury.

It will be interesting to see where the Jets finish this year, especially given the continued strength of their AFC East counterparts
