We still believe’ says determined Hull City boss on Tigers play-off hopes.

The Tigers remain in the hunt and moved back up to 7th with a commanding display to see off QPR.

Hull City head coach Liam Rosenior says he still believes his side can yet claim a place in the play-offs as the Championship season edges closer to an exciting conclusion.

City made it two wins in three games by sweeping aside QPR by three goals to nil at the MKM Stadium on Saturday courtesy of goals from Ozan Tufan, Fabio Carvalho and Jaden Philogene to notch up an 18th win of a terrific campaign so far.

For long periods of Saturday afternoon, the Tigers were closing the gap on sixth-placed Norwich City to just four points with a game in hand, until Gabriel Sara scored the winner at Preston four minutes from time to keep that six-point advantage for the Canaries, who have just three games to go.

City now have a clear week before taking on Watford at Vicarage Road, followed by games at Coventry, home to Ipswich and then away at Plymouth. Norwich are obviously in the box seat to claim that final play-off berth, but Rosenior and his players have not given up hope, provided they can keep winning.

“We’ve got to win the next game, that’s it,” Rosenior told Hull Live. “That’s all we have to do. That’s all we’ve spoken about. We focused everything on Middlesbrough and then we focused everything on QPR.
