The Cleveland Browns Dodged A Huge Scheduling Bullet.
A few months ago, the NFL announced they would be playing the first-ever NFL game in Brazil, and the Philadelphia Eagles would be hosting the game as the home team.
Cleveland Browns Were Rumored To Play The Eagles
It’s bad enough that the game is being played in Brazil, considering it takes a very long time to travel there, and it will be played on a Friday night in Week One.
A lot of speculation came out in the past few months that the Cleveland Browns could be the team that opened up as the Eagles’ opponent for the Brazil game, considering they haven’t played a game out of the country since 2017. They have to play on the road against the Eagles this season.
The Packers Will Be Getting The Brazil Game.
Well, Cleveland Browns fans got great news on Wednesday morning that they will not be opening up in Brazil, and it will be the Green Bay Packers.
The Browns caught a huge break here. They don’t have to travel to Brazil and open up in a place they have never been to on a Friday night.
Starting off the season in another country doesn’t seem right. It’s a lot of travel, and if you lose the game, it just starts the season off on the wrong note, and nobody wants that.
Hopefully, the Browns can open up at home again, like last season when they took down the Cincinnati Bengals in Week One, which started one of the best seasons in Cleveland Brown’s history.
