Hull City have huge Liverpool transfer advantage after Morton, Carvalho blueprints: View
The Liverpool duo’s strong loan performances could give the Tigers an advantage in the upcoming transfer window.
Hull City are facing up to a crucial set of fixtures in their ambitious bid to reach the Championship play-offs.
A disappointing Easter period which saw the Tigers defeated in back-to-back outings against Stoke City and Leeds United was somewhat remedied last weekend though, as Liam Rosenior’s side recorded a first win since February 20th with a professional performance against Cardiff City, defeating the Bluebirds 3-1.
Whilst the team’s form in recent weeks has been inconsistent – and understandably- frustrating for fans to watch at times given the calibre of squad Rosenior has at his disposal, a string of consistent performances from a particular duo could come in handy for the Tigers in the future as well as the present.
Fabio Carvalho’s impact at Hull City
Perhaps it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given his ability and previous exploits, but Fabio Carvalho’s impact at times has shown exactly why the rest of the division watched on with envy, as Acun Ilicali and Rosenior worked persistently to prize him away from divisional rivals such as Leicester City and Leeds United in January.
It was a mouth-watering prospect for many to imagine an attacking trio of Anass Zaroury and Jaden Philogene alongside the Portuguese star.
However, he has been by far the most consistent in comparison to his colleagues since their first outing together – a 1-0 win over Millwall two months ago, going on to notch seven goals in just 14 appearances.
Carvalho has only been ineffective in a handful of games, but his performance at the Cardiff City Stadium served as further notice of his abilities as a big-game player, which could still prove vital for Hull as they bid to narrow the gap on Norwich City in sixth with limited time remaining.
