Derrick Henry is an official member of the Baltimore Ravens.
After weeks of speculating where the big-time running back would end up, he landed with one of the best teams in the AFC last season.
Joining the Ravens not only gives Henry a good chance of playing meaningful games, but it also gives him a chance to show that he still has plenty of gas left in the tank.
There is a general belief that running backs can hit a wall at a certain age, but Henry is looking to change that narrative heading into his age 30 season.
He recently appeared on the Rich Eisen Show, where he talked about his experience with free agency and which teams ultimately reached out to him.
“It was really just two teams, really,” Henry said, adding, “Houston poked around a little bit.”
Henry indicated that there were only two teams that reached out to him, which was surprising to hear for some fans given Henry’s history in the league.
He has proven to be an impactful back, but for some reason, there weren’t a lot of teams to kick the tires.
Their loss is Baltimore’s gain, as it appears that he was hoping to eventually land with them anyway
The Ravens will now move forward with this new-look offense, hoping to make it to the Super Bowl, something they were unable to accomplish last season.
