Two-Time Super Bowl Champion Logan Ryan Bids Farewell To NFL After Storied 11-Year Career.

The two-time Super Bowl champion and former safety of San Francisco 49ers, Logan Ryan, has formally announced his retirement from the illustrious league after playing for 11 seasons with multiple teams throughout his career.

The First-team All-Big East and First-team All-American, safety was selected in the 2013 NFL Draft in the third round as the 83rd pick. He was picked up by the New England Patriots and he played with them for four seasons.

The safety participated in six conference championship games and three Super Bowl appearances. After the Patriots, Ryan went on to play with the Tennessee Titans, the New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the San Francisco 49ers.

In one of his videos on Platform X, formerly Twitter, Ryan shared his heartfelt message, reflecting on his journey and thanking his teams. He also mentioned his animal rescue foundation, The Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation.

He stated, “I am officially retiring from the NFL after 11 seasons. What a great career. What a ride it was. Beautiful journey of highs and lows, like they always are. Shout out to my friends, my family, my teammates, all those who supported me. Man I try to play the right way, I try to play my hardest at all times. Shout out to the New England Patriots, thank you for drafting me, believing me, making me a two-time Super Bowl champion. Thank you to the Tennessee Titans, for bringing me down there becoming a franchise player and honestly supporting RARF, my animal foundation was birthed there and you guys took that and we did so much on and off the field with playoff runs.

He further continued, “The New York Giants bringing me home back to New Jersey during the covid years, literally saving my wife’s life. Thank you so much to the training staff and organization for saving my wife, Ashley. Tampa Bay Buccaneers found my forever home here, my kids are raised and growing up in Florida, they have stability, which meant so much to me as a father; and finally, the San Francisco 49ers for bringing me off the cruise.

Last season, joining a great organization, and great coaching staff and a great locker room and going on a run that we had. Eleven seasons, six championship games, three Super Bowl appearances, and ultimately two Super Bowl rings is what we do it for. I’am so blessed, man, I wouldn’t change it for the world. Thank you once again, Logan Ryan, two-time Super Bowl champ is out but stay tuned we got a lot in store.”
