The Pittsburgh Steelers have had an interesting offseason to this point.

They have made a few surprising additions, most notably adding Justin Fields and Russell Wilson into the fold.

Wilson and Fields are slated to compete for the starting quarterback job, a position the Steelers have struggled with since Ben Roethlisberger’s departure.

While the Steelers quarterbacks have been at the forefront, the team also needs to focus on the players who’ll be catching passes from their newest additions.

With the Steelers losing Diontae Johnson in the offseason, they need to ensure that their top talent stays.

Pat Freiermuth could see increased targets in 2024 with Johnson out the door, and given his recent comments, it appears that he is excited to contribute to this team for the foreseeable future.

Freiermuth recently spoke on a podcast, as shared by Around The NFL, where he said, “I want to be in Pittsburgh for the rest of my career. Hopefully, it shakes out that way

it will be interesting to see what Freiermuth’s future holds, especially as it pertains to the 2024 season.

With the Steelers shaking things up at QB, Friermuth’s role could change significantly, for better or for worst.
