5 NY Jets who could lose their jobs after 2024 NFL Draft.

The NY Jets have already made quite a few notable changes to their roster this offseason. They’ve completely revamped their offensive line, signed a new high-profile wide receiver, and traded for an All-Pro pass rusher.

Those moves have all improved the Jets’ roster, making the team even more primed for a potential Super Bowl run if all goes according to plan in 2024. Not everyone ends up a winner, though.

An influx of new talent means that some players on the roster will see their roles diminish heading into the 2024 season. The Jets aren’t done making changes, either.

The following five players could be in danger of losing their roles with the team if the Jets target their replacement later this month. Here are five players whose jobs are in jeopardy after the 2024 NFL Draft.

5. Chuck Clark, S, NY Jets
The Jets parted ways with starting safety Jordan Whitehead this offseason as the former Super Bowl champion returned to Tampa Bay in free agency, but one player the Jets did bring back is Chuck Clark.

Clark missed the entire 2023 season after tearing his ACL during OTAs, a devastating blow for a player who had never missed a game due to injury in his entire NFL career.

The Jets are banking on Clark returning to full health in 2024 and he’s currently penciled in as one of the team’s two starting safeties alongside Tony Adams, but with a cap hit of less than $2 million this season, he’s not guaranteed anything.

The 2024 draft isn’t exactly overflowing with safety talent, but there’s a chance the Jets use a Day 2 or 3 pick on another safety later this month. If that happens, Clark’s role as an every-down defensive starter could be in jeopardy.
