Former second-round pick Cam Robinson is entering the final season of a three-year, $55 million contract, and the Jacksonville Jaguars appear to be preparing for life without the veteran. Entering the NFL back in 2017, the Alabama product has been a reliable presence as left tackle since he first joined the club. However, nothing lasts forever, and there are reasons to believe his time with the Jaguars is coming to a close.
After injuries limited him to just nine games in 2023, backup Walter Little made a compelling case to keep the starting job. According to Pro Football Focus, Little’s 58.8 grade wasn’t too far behind Robinson’s 65.4 mark. With first-round pick Anton Harrison locking down the other side, Jacksonville could make Little the starter and trade Cam Robinson for a decent return.
Bleacher Report believes that the Jaguars should trade Cam Robinson to the Kansas City Chiefs. The reigning Super Bowl champions have a glaring need at left tackle and could use a steadying presence in their starting lineup.

The Chiefs have a strong offensive line with a weak link at left tackle. Donovan Smith had an inconsistent year and recent reports indicate that he won’t be back in 2024. With no clear replacement on the roster, Kansas City should be willing to trade for a proven veteran like Cam Robinson as they go for their third Super Bowl in as many years.
The Jaguars, meanwhile, have a financial incentive to trade Cam Robinson. According to OverTheCap, the veteran currently carries a $21.9 million cap hit, but they can clear $17.3 million with a trade. Seeing as the team already has cheaper answers at tackle, this money could go towards a Brandon Aiyuk extension.
Of course, if the Jaguars are willing to trade Cam Robinson, the Chiefs wont be the only teams interested in making a deal. While nobody will give up a high draft pick for his services, the following teams could kick the make an offer for the veteran.
