Leeds United are seemingly one of multiple clubs that are eager to see the EFL hit Leicester City with a massive sanction after their latest published accounts point to an inevitable PSR breach.

The Championship promotion race is heating up with six games remaining for Leeds, one point above Leicester City in third who have played a game less.

Huge financial pressure on Leeds, Leicester and Southampton means that promotion right now is a must to ensure no headaches further down the line, something the Foxes are already dealing with.

Leicester facing huge punishment as £215.3m PSR breach looms.

The Telegraph has revealed all with Leicester’s current finances in the Championship, after both the Premier League and EFL clamped down with charges to Enzo Maresca’s side.

Punishments at this moment only include an EFL embargo that prohibits them from signing players or even offering new contracts to current players, but clubs obviously want more after the Foxes seemingly gained an unfair advantage by spending beyond their means.

Leicester’s rolling three-year period in question has seen them post losses of £215.3million, with their newest accounts for 22/23 standing at a £89.7million loss, which even includes the sales of Wesley Fofana for £70million and James Maddison for £40million.

Leeds and others want Leicester punished now.
