Reddick, originally drafted in the first round by the Arizona Cardinals in 2017, has consistently tallied double-digit sack numbers over the past four seasons, with 27 sacks accumulated during his time with the Eagles.
With just one year left on his current contract worth $45 million over three years, Reddick was allowed by the Eagles to explore trade options earlier during the offseason.
To prepare for Reddick’s potential departure, the Eagles signed Bryce Huff, a former Jets edge rusher, in free agency. The addition of Reddick is part of the Jets’ strategy to bolster their roster with experienced players as they aim to break their longstanding streak of missing the NFL playoffs.
