he Los Angeles Dodgers have signed former San Diego Padres All-Star left-handed pitcher Drew Pomeranz to a minor league deal, per Triple-A OKC Baseball’s Broadcaster and Communications Director Alex Freedman.
Pomeranz, 35, was with the Los Angeles Angels on a minor league deal in spring training, but was released before Opening Day.
The Dodgers worked fast to pick him up, and now have added him to the minor league roster.
Pomeranz made nine appearances this spring and allowed five earned runs across eight innings of work for a 5.63 ERA.
Pomeranz last played in Major League Baseball in 2021 when he was with the Padres.
After getting off to a dominant 2021 season — in which he had a 1.75 ERA in 27 appearances — Pomeranz underwent season-ending surgery to repair a torn flexor tendon.
