PFF sees Ravens best fit for former Dolphins Star CB.

The Baltimore Ravens have lost some key players on defense this off-season, like Javedeon Clowney to the Carolina Panthers.

Javedeon Clowney was part of a Ravens defense that was among the best of all time. In 2023, the Baltimore Ravens finished the 2023 regular season with a triple crown NFL record as the first team in history to lead the league in points allowed (16.5 per game), sacks (60), and takeaways (31).

To replace players like Geno Stone, Clowney, Patrick Queen, and potentially others, a potential huge landing for Baltimore could be former star cornerback of the Miami Dolphins, Xavien Howard.

Howard was a second-round pick (38th overall) by Miami in the 2016 NFL Draft following a standout career at Baylor. He was selected to four Pro Bowls (2018, 2020-22),

Miami released/failed physical cornerback Xavien Howard with a post-June 1 designation.

PFF’s Brad Spielberger named the Baltimore Ravens as the best landing spot for Howard.

Howard was released after a great eight-year run in Miami, with his coverage grades dipping into the 50s in each of the past two seasons. He has expressed a strong desire to play for a contender, and has even said he’d be open to taking less money to chase a ring. Pivoting to playing more man coverage could get him back to where he excelled earlier in his career’.
