Gary O’Neil stance on ‘terrific’ Wolves transfer target now made clear ahead of summer
Wolves are reportedly leading the race to sign Southampton striker Che Adams this summer, as Gary O’Neil continues his hunt to secure a new striker at Molineux.
Wolves are reportedly already looking ahead to the summer transfer window in what is hoped to be a more successful time than the window of 2023.
The Old Gold suffered greatly last summer due to FFP restrictions that saw key players exit for funds and be replaced by no one, damaging the squad’s depth going into the 2023/24 calendar.
Luckily, Gary O’Neil has managed to get the squad he inherited from Julen Lopetegui both firing and competing, as Wolves remain in with a chance of securing European football with 10 games to go.
The summer will be an interesting one at Molineux, with reports now suggesting that the manager could finally be on course to deliver a goalscorer to Wolverhampton.
Update on Che Adams transfer to Wolves now provided
Earlier today, it was reported by journalist Mike McGrath that Wolves are ‘leading the race’ to sign Southampton striker, Che Adams.
The Old Gold have been heavily linked to the Scotsman over the past year, with it now looking as though a deal could be made in the summer.
McGrath reported that Wolves have the 27-year-old ‘firmly in their sights’ in a move that could be greatly beneficial to Fosun and O’Neil.
