Odell Beckham Jr gets Miami Dolphins offer – a day after his split from Kim Kardashian emerged – but coach Mike McDaniel is NOT expecting a quick answer from the wide receiver
Odell Beckham Jr has an offer to join the Miami Dolphins after visiting the team last week.
It’s some welcome news for the former Baltimore Ravens man, after it emerged over the weekend that he had split with Kim Kardashian after a year of dating.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel was asked about Beckham’s visit on Monday and was effusive in his praise for the wide receiver.
Things went great with him,’ McDaniel said. ‘We did make him an offer, and business takes time, especially with players such as Odell, who’s had a phenomenal career, still has really good football in front of him and has options.
‘So, I think those conversations will be ongoing. We’ll see where they go
Definitely ready to coach him if we can come to an agreement, and I think both sides are trying to work towards that. We’ll see what happens.’
He is a free agent after leaving the Ravens after just a season, with Baltimore coach John Harbaugh saying money was the reason for the parting of the ways.
It was just more financial,’ Harbaugh said. ‘Just from a number standpoint, probably as much from we’re at, we’re in a tight set salary cap-type situation and kind of was a mutual understanding I think that way.’
The TV personality Kardashian, 43, is believed to have began dating Beckham last spring.
But the couple have not been seen together since March 10 and a joint appearance at the the Vanity Fair Oscars viewing party in Los Angeles.
It was recently reported that Kim ‘liked the idea’ of having a fifth baby with Odell, however it’s understood that reveal they have parted ways and are ‘no longer seeing one another.’
Beckham has also been linked to Super Bowl winners Kansas City Chiefs, where he would link up with Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs beat the Ravens in the AFC Championship game last season to reach the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
Pittsburgh Steelers, who recently signed Russell Wilson at quarterback, have also been suggested as a landing spot.
But if he was to sign with the Dolphins, Beckham Jr. would link up with Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa in a fascinating Miami offense for 2024.
Beckham is a one-time Super Bowl winner, emerging victorious with the Los Angeles Rams over the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020.
