Mina Kimes Is ‘Very Impressed’ With How 1 NFL Team Is Building Its Offense
Last year, the Chicago Bears had the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, with the team having the opportunity to draft a potential franchise quarterback, as Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis were there for the taking.
However, the team still had faith that Justin Fields would take his game to another level and make the Bears a legitimate playoff team in the NFC in 2023, but unfortunately, despite improving their win total by a few games, that didn’t happen.
The Bears chose to trade that pick, which ultimately became Young out of the University of Alabama, to the Carolina Panthers, with Stroud, the true prize in last year’s draft, going No. 2 overall to the Houston Texans.
This year, the Bears have the top pick once again, and this time, they will almost certainly be taking USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams on April 25, which could be a move that forever changes the franchise’s luck at the position.
Along with potentially going all-in on a quarterback at No. 1, the Bears have made some moves to address the offense this offseason, with the additions of Keenan Allen, D’Andre Swift, Gerald Everett, and a few offensive linemen.
Mina Kimes of ESPN believes Chicago has had a great offseason so far to set Williams up for success right out of the gate, via NFL on ESPN.
“I just feel like the Bears have absolutely crushed this offseason in terms of setting him up for success,” Kimes said.
