Leeds United: Early team news v Watford as Georginio Rutter update shared, two ruled out
Georginio Rutter remains a doubt for the Championship clash between Leeds United and Watford, according to the Yorkshire Evening News.
The publication shared a fitness update on its online edition [24 March] ahead of Friday’s (29 March) return to action at Vicarage Road.
As well as possibly being without Rutter, who recently underwent minor surgery, it is claimed Stuart Dallas and Pascal Struijk will play no part.
Georginio Rutter in race against time to face Watford
Rutter will be given every chance of being available for the Good Friday clash with Watford after his minor procedure earlier this week.
Leeds announced in a statement that the timeframe for his recovery is 10 days, taking us to the eve of the match in Hertfordshire.
Having Rutter available would be a massive boost for Daniel Farke, but it looks more likely that the forward will be used from the bench.
Dallas has now been absent for two years, although the unfortunate truth is that he is not exactly being missed at the moment.
As for Struijk, it remains unclear if he requires surgery that would end his season early, but this report suggests he is out for the time being.
It should also be noted that a number of Leeds players are still away on international duty, so let us just hope this list does not grow in the coming days.
