Southampton defender receives late international call up
SAINTS defender Ryan Manning has been added to the Republic of Ireland squad as a late call-up ahead of their home friendlies.
The left-back did not make interim manager John O’Shea’s initial squad due to suffering from illness.
The former Manchester United defender confirmed that Manning’s situation was being monitored and that he could be added to the camp should he feel better.
Having recovered, Manning will now link up with Saints teammates Gavin Bazunu and Will Smallbone ahead of facing Belgium and Switzerland.
