“From what I am hearing”… Journalist says £37m player may not join Crystal Palace this summer after all
Crystal Palace have just been dealt a blow in the pursuit of a serious contender to replace Michael Olise this summer.
While he’s not gone yet, Michael Olise is the name many are expecting to exit Selhurst Park this summer.
Crystal Palace have already begun scouring the globe for potential replacements to slot into the right-sided attacker role in Oliver Glasner‘s team.
Over the past few days alone multiple players have been linked with arriving at Copers Cope, such as Internacional’s Mauricio.
Along with the Brazilian, Palace have been linked with two of the Championship’s best young players in Norwich’s Jonathan Rowe and brilliant Jaden Philogene who currently plays for Hull City.
But now one name has taken a blow, with Graeme Bailey of HITC Football casting doubt over the move for £37m valued Matias Soule.
Matias Soule might not join Crystal Palace afterall
Juventus’ on-loan Argentine, Matias Soule, has been linked with the Eagles since December while reports in January claimed a bid was even rejected.
Now though Graeme Bailey has shared his view on whether Soule is Selhurst Park bound, and it’s bad news for anyone hoping this move came off.
“Matias Soule is a tremendous player, he’s doing really well, I think he’s on the agenda. I think he could end up back at Juventus, to be honest from what I’m hearing in Italy but he is on the list if he is available.”
This is something that wouldn’t be surprising as Soule has been so good for Frosinone on loan that it would make sense for Juventus to want to keep him, despite his dream being a Premier League move.
Juventus themselves have been struggling for a handful of years now and Soule has outperformed every single attacking player at his parent club apart from the striker Dusan Vlahovic.
