Two former Potters sign up for boxing event
Former Stoke City players Dean Crowe and Ashley Wooliscroft will step into the ring later this year to take part in the Community Trust’s white collar boxing night.
The event is to be staged at the bet365 Stadium on Friday, May 10 and will raise money for the Potters’ official charity.
Crowe and Wolliscroft, who played for the Club during the late 1990s, will join fellow amateurs and former professional boxers on the night’s bill inside the Tony Waddington Suite.
It’s the second time that Crowe is to take part in the event after doing so in 2019, when it formed part of the Community Trust’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
Doors will open at 6.30pm on May 10, with tickets priced at £20 per person or £40 per person for the VIP package. All proceeds will go to the Community Trust to support its projects in and around Stoke-on-Trent.
Tickets can be booked online here, or for more information please email community@stokecityfc.com.
The rookie boxers will receive support from Fenton-based Impact Boxing, which is run by two-time English lightweight champion Scott Lawton.
