All signs point to them succeeding again as they proved they can win at a high level.
Will Leitch of MLB.com released his power rankings heading into the season, listing Baltimore as the third-best team in baseball. That made them the highest-ranked team in the American League.
Are the Orioles the third-best team in baseball?
It’s not a crazy thing to say that, and if they repeat what they did in 2023, plus win a playoff series or two, this ranking will be well warranted.
It might be too soon to say they’re this good, but there’s no debating that this is just the beginning of a future dynasty.
With another year under their belts, this has the makings for a year where they prove they’re better than just a regular season team. Factor in the addition of Corbin Burnes and this team is built to compete in the playoffs.
Baltimore’s loaded with young talent and more should be on the way up as Jackson Holliday is expected to make the Opening Day roster. If that’s the case, and he plays the way that he’s expected to, they’ll add another dynamic bat to a lineup that was already one of the best in baseball.
It’s an exciting time for Orioles fans, and if everything goes to plan, could be one that ends in a World Series.
