Cowboys Trade for Raiders WR?
The Dallas Cowboys should feel comfortable knowing that their offense – albeit with some additional pieces – is already set to stay one of the best in football in 2024. There’s one move the organization can make, though, to not only improve the group as a whole but attack defenses in a unique way that would make them even more unstoppable than they already are.

With the Cowboys allowing Michael Gallup to seek a trade, the organization should be looking to address the receiver position during the offseason. Trading for a player like Hunter Renfrow might be the right move for the offense to make. The Las Vegas Raiders have been looking to move off of Renfrow for some time after signing Jakobi Meyers to a free-agent deal. Renfrow is still a solid slot receiver who is shifty enough to get open on the inside. He would be a
helpful tool for any offense that is willing to trade for him. Now, many Cowboys analysts will point to the damage CeeDee Lamb has done in the slot as a reason to NOT make a trade like this. Renfrow’s large cap hit ($13 million) is another piece of the puzzle to make people think a deal wouldn’t be made. Maybe, though, the Raiders can help with that price tag. Related: Where’s Dak? All-Pro wide receiver on the outside, just as much as he is inside. His balance of pristine route-running and ball skills make him one of the best in football for a reason. Pairing him with a guy who can also get open at a high clip and make difficult catches inside is something the Cowboys should not be passing up. Dallas had great success with Cole Beasley. Adding a player with a similar stature could provide a new offensive wrinkle that will make defenses heads hurt even more than they already are when playing this “Texas Coast Offense.”
