Dodgers' Andy Pages records 4-hit game

Dave Roberts ‘Wouldn’t Be Surprised’ if Andy Pages Debuts This Season For Dodgers

One of the pleasant surprises for the Los Angeles Dodgers through Spring Training so far has been Andy Pages. Through six games, Pages has gotten 17 at-bats. In those at-bats, Pages hit two home runs, recorded eight hits, nine runs, nine RBIs and a .571 on-base percentage.

Pages has also stepped up in right field for the Dodgers, coming up with some key outs.

Pages’ performance caught the attention of many across the major leagues, especially coming off a season-ending shoulder injury (a torn labrum) he sustained in May 2023. Not only is Pages already healthy, but the 23-year-old is playing great despite missing a ton of minor league action

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts also took notice of Pages, and even indicated that Pages could make his major league debut this season.

For the time being though, Pages will return to the minor leagues. The Dodgers announced Sunday that Pages was one of 11 players optioned or re-assigned to minor league camp.

The announcement was disappointing for quite a few Dodgers fans, who were excited by the promise Pages showed as both a hitter and in the outfield during his first few weeks of Cactus League action. However, the optimistic news for fans is that it appears there is a strong chance that Pages will return for major league action in the regular season.
