“It’s Not That Easy” 49ers’ Deebo Samuel Reflects On Heartbreaking Super Bowl Loss
The Pro Bowl wide receiver of the San Francisco 49ers, Deebo Samuel has recently shed light on his sentiments considering the loss of the 49ers in the Super Bowl for the second time and how he has been faring as the squad was not able to achieve the feat in Las Vegas.
During “Up & Adams” Samuel shared that the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII has been “heartbreaking” and how he and other members must move ahead to concentrate on the 2024 season. He also expressed how long it takes for a team to get to that stage as most are of the opinion that “there’s always next year”.
According to ProFootballTalk, he shared, “It’s kind of hard, because basically our job is football, so it’s just like, ‘All right, let’s use this as motivation where you get back in the lab just to put yourself in a position and try to do your best to get back.”
“People just say there’s always next year, but I heard that in 2019 and it took four more years to get where we’re at. So, it’s not that easy as people think to get to the Super Bowl. It takes everything. It takes me, the coaches, the people upstairs, you bring people in to help. For everything to play out right, you’re not just gonna snap your hands and be back in the Super Bowl again.”
The 49ers club last season gave an incredible performance and with displaying noteworthy grit the squad was able to reach the Super Bowl stage. The 49ers squad have also added Nick Sorensen as their new defensive coordinator and will be looking forward to finally succeeding in capturing the illustrious Lombardi Trophy.
