Kristin Juszczyk Says Peyton Manning Shared Advice with Husband Kyle, 49ers Pals on Mexico Trip (Exclusive)
“He just happened to be at the same place we were staying,” Kristin tells PEOPLE of their run-in in an exclusive interview
Not long after the San Francisco 49ers lost the 2024 Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 11, Christian McCaffrey and his fiancée Olivia Culpo, George Kittle and his wife Claire, and Kyle Juszczyk and his wife Kristin jetted off to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for some much-needed relaxation.
However, it turned out they weren’t the only footballers taking a post-big game break at the resort. During their getaway, Page Six posted a photo of the 49ers pals at the hotel bar chatting it up with NFL legend Peyton Manning.
Now, Kristin is sharing exactly what the athletes were discussing.
“It was great for the boys to be able to speak to him,” Kristin tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview for her partnership with State Farm. “I mean, he’s been there too. He’s won Super Bowls, he’s lost Super Bowls. So it’s great advice for the guys.”
She continues, “Being able to cope with it, there’s only so much you can do. It’s kind of like anything, time heals all wounds. Moving on to the next goal and the next season is what keeps pushing these guys forward
Kristin also shared that for Kyle, the Mexico trip was a great opportunity for him to be with his teammates after the loss. Throughout the vacation, she says she and Kyle had the chance to relax and not have the weight of the season on their shoulders.
“It’s a true brotherhood over there. You are with each other every single day, and then [in the off-season] you don’t see each other as much as you normally would,” she says. “So it’s good to just get away and block out the noise, maybe turn off social media for a few days and just be with each other and play board games and kind of just disconnect.”
“They are Kyle’s teammates and their wives and fiancees and everyone have become family to us, which is so special,” Kristin adds. “And what is so amazing about the NFL in general is all the lifelong friends that we’ve gained. So it’s just good to be able to hang out as friends and get away from the game for a little bit.”
