Las Vegas Raiders Trade $140 Million Star in Insane Proposal
The Las Vegas Raiders are rebuilding, and the 32-year-old Davante Adams might not fit their current timeline. With a new coaching staff as well, it’s unknown if the veteran wideout will remain satisfied with the current trajectory of the team.
Having said that, the Raiders could benefit by trading Adams and moving up in the 2024 NFL Draft where they can replace him with a younger and high-ceiling wideout that would fit their timeline better.
Las Vegas Raiders Trade Davante Adams to Arizona Cardinals for No. 4 Pick
In the trade proposal by Aaron Schatz of ESPN, he highlighted that the Raiders could send Adams and the no. 13 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft for the Arizona Cardinals’ no. 4 pick.
Then by using the fourth overall pick, the Raiders could take Ohio State standout Marvin Harrison Jr. It makes sense for both teams since Las Vegas gets a highly-touted young prospect who can contribute immediately, while the Cardinals add another proven weapon for Kyler Murray.
Not to mention that Arizona could use the 13th pick they get to take a player that can help their defense.
Here’s what Schatz wrote about the potential move for the Raiders and Cardinals:“Is Adams happy in Las Vegas? He says yes, but his role could change with a new coaching staff. It might make sense for the Raiders to move on from Adams and his big contract now that he’s turning 32 this year. So how about trying to replace Adams with coveted WR Harrison?
“A big trade up the draft board would help the Cardinals improve their receiving corps with Adams while also giving them the 13th overall pick to improve their league-worst defense from 2023. The Raiders would get perhaps the best receiving prospect in years at a rookie-contract salary.”
It will definitely be interesting to see if the Raiders can make the aforementioned trade with the Cardinals happen. But if they can, it will truly be a big win for them.
The Problem Las Vegas Raiders-Arizona Cardinals Davante Adams Trade
Now the big question here is if Davante Adams will be happy to go to an Arizona Cardinals team that has made the playoffs just once over the last eight years. A player of Adams’ caliber always wants to compete, and if Arizona constantly fails, he might want to ask out.
Considering that Adams is also ageing, his trade value might not be as high as what the Cardinals give up for him in the trade scenario with the Las Vegas Raiders mentioned above.
