Hull City will look to solidify their place in the division’s top six in the coming months and achieve a place in the play-offs for the first time since 2016.
Hull City currently occupy 6th spot in the table and have been one of the most consistent sides in the division over the past few weeks. They will be hoping they can go on to secure a place in the top six come the end of the season.
Whatever division they are playing their football in next season, there are likely to be plenty of incomings and outgoings in the summer, whether that is to strengthen their side after promotion to the Premier League or in order challenge for promotion from the Championship yet again.
With an eye on next season and the upcoming summer transfer window, here are three players who could be on their way out of the MKM Stadium and may have already played their last game for the club.
Cyrus Christie
The right-back’s contract expires in June, he was left out of the squad entirely last week despite having recovered from injury, and now aged 31, Christie may have already played his last game for the club.
Of course, he could yet be offered a new deal given he was a regular before his untimely injury, but the Tigers now look to be playing better football in his absence.
Billy Sharp
This one felt like a stop-gap Signing but one that hasn’t necessarily materialised as such. 38-year-old Sharp has played seven times for his new club in all competitions and is yet to find the net.
Given he has been left on the bench in their last two outings, and Fabio Carvalho, Aaron Connolly and even attacking midfielder Abdulkadir Omer have all been used ahead of him in the number nine position, Sharp could have played for Hull City for the last time already.
