Dodgers News: Giants and Padres Named Among Finalists For Kiké Hernández
Kiké Hernández is expected to be choosing his next team very shortly, and we now have a list of the finalists. According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, Hernández will be choosing between four teams. The finalists included the San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Angels and Minnesota Twins.
“Free-agent super-utility man Kiké Hernández is choosing between four teams, according to sources briefed on his discussions. The finalists, in no particular order, are the Los Angeles Angels, Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.”
Each one of these teams could use a player like Hernández, but only one of them will win the sweepstakes. Hernández has been a fan favorite for years with the Dodgers, so Los Angeles fans would love him to head to Minnesota
The Twins do likely give Hernández the best chance to win next season between all the options. He is still a serviceable utility man who can help any team in multiple ways.
His ability to play different positions across the field allows for major flexibility when building out the roster. Hernández deserves to head to a solid spot, so hopefully, he leaves California for the Midwest.
