Shrewsbury Town keeping same approach in bid for survival
Shrewsbury Town will not change their approach whether they are home or away – according to boss Paul Hurst.
Since Hurst has taken over as Salop boss, Town have picked up four points from six on their travels.
Playing away from home has been an issue for Shrewsbury for large parts of this season, and they are faced with two massive games on the road this week – firstly against Reading tomorrow, before making to trip to Sincil Bank to play Lincoln City on Tuesday evening.
And Hurst says Town are playing to win no matter the venue – and the cliché of a point being more valuable away from home is a bit of a ‘myth’.
Shrewsbury Town players urged to develop footballing habit by boss Paul Hurst
Paul Hurst has encouraged his Shrewsbury Town players to watch more football.
The Town boss’ side visit Reading today in League One as they seek to get back on track after a disappointing defeat at home to Wigan last time out – despite a positive performance.
Hurst is still getting to know his Shrewsbury players as he has only been in position as the club’s head coach for a month.
The team’s performances have picked up since his arrival but they have still only managed five points from the five games they have played.
