Enzo Maresca picks out four Leeds United players who Leicester will have to be very wary of tomorrow

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has been previewing his side’s trip to Leeds United tomorrow night.

Maresca was speaking earlier today ahead of the Foxes’ match at Elland Road in what looks set to be the biggest game of the Championship season so far.

Leicester currently occupy top spot in the league with Leeds just one place behind them, and know defeat on Friday could see them very much looking over their shoulders at the three sides just below.

Leeds ran out 1-0 winners over Leicester during the return fixture at the King Power back in November, in which the Whites were able to hurt their opponents on the counter-attack.

Speaking in his press conference at Leicester’s training ground, Maresca spoke highly of the attacking options Daniel Farke has at his disposal, and knows how ‘dangerous’ they can be.

Maresca wary of Leeds pace

He said: “I think they are quite similar. They are very dangerous when the opposition have the ball. They have very good players, especially the four up front. They are fantastic.”

It was just a couple of months ago that Maresca claimed Leeds are the best side in the Championship in transition, and it is something he has hinted at again today.

Leeds have an abundance of pace in the attacking third of the pitch, with Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter and one of Willy Gnonto or Dan James, having been excellent in matches where they have space.

That said, if anyone is capable of stopping Leeds’ attack, it is Leicester. Alongside the Whites, they have the best defensive record in the league having conceded just 26 goals so far.

It will certainly be a clash of styles when the two teams go head-to-head tomorrow night which should make for another enthralling game, like back in November.
