Tyrese Campbell and Andre Vidigal will hope they have done enough to win a place back in the match day squad as Steven Schumacher prepares Stoke City for a trip to Cardiff.
Schumacher has been utilising his squad week by week as he tries to find a winning formula. There were five changes at Sunderland, three against Leicester, eight at Blackburn, five against QPR and six against Coventry last weekend, when a team’s worth of senior players did not make the match day 20.
Campbell and Vidigal were given a chance to build up their confidence and catch the head coach’s eye in a 4-3 win for the under-21s over Brighton on Monday afternoon. Campbell set up two while Vidigal scored one and made

Daniel Iversen (dead leg) and Luke McNally (thigh) are also hoping to be back involved after late fitness tests ruled them out against Coventry. Wouter Burger, Junior Tchamadeu, Bae Junho and Niall Ennis, who were all used from the bench after starting against QPR, are bidding to return too.
Schumacher might be tempted to rotate back to the side that lined up against QPR in a 3-4-2-1. Lynden Gooch will hope he has done enough to keep the shirt at right wing-back, while captain Josh Laurent is a new option in midfield after recovering from an ankle injury. Ben Wilmot will want to be a regular at centre-half.
