San Francisco 49ers Urged to Trade Brandon Aiyuk for All-Pro Wide Receiver
It’s back to the drawing board for the San Francisco 49ers following their Super Bowl heartbreak at the hands of the now-back-to-back champions Kansas City Chiefs. The Niners did all they could against the mighty Chiefs, but once again, they came up short.
You can be sure that the Niners will be back at it again next season as they look to finally secure their first Super Bowl win since 1995. At the same time, however, it would not be a complete surprise if this team made a couple of significant moves in the offseason to fortify their title push in 2025.
Brandon Aiyuk on His Way Out of San Francisco 49ers?
One player who could be on his way out of San Francisco this summer is wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. The 25-year-old played a key role for the 49ers this season, but it now appears that he may have played his final game for the team.
The Niners picked up the fifth-year option on Aiyuk’s deal for next season which means that technically, the former first-round pick should remain in San Francisco. However, based on recent developments, it now sounds like a summer exit has become an imminent possibility for Aiyuk.
Shortly after their Super Bowl loss, the 49ers wide receiver came out with a cryptic post on Instagram, which seems to have been a jab aimed at the team for the way they used their offense against the Chiefs:
Aiyuk’s girlfriend was even more direct in her post-Super Bowl post, strongly hinting that his beau may have already played his final game in a Niners uniform:
Niners Urged to Trade for Raiders’ Davante Adams
Another player who has been rumored to be on the move this offseason is Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders. The veteran WR may have a similar situation with Aiyuk in that he might be looking for a new home this summer.
