Derrick Henry’s Next Team Odds: Ravens, Eagles, Cowboys at Forefront
In his tenure with the Tennessee Titans, spanning eight seasons, running back Derrick Henry has amassed an impressive 9,502 yards rushing.
However, the landscape is shifting for Henry and the Titans. Mike Vrabel, who coached Henry for the past six seasons, was dismissed in January.
The Titans have since brought on Brian Callahan, the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, to succeed Vrabel. Callahan’s coaching style leans toward enhancing the passing game, a departure from Vrabel’s approach.
Now, as Henry approaches the milestone of 10,000 rushing yards, there’s speculation brewing about his future. At 30 years old, Henry is poised to enter free agency in March, prompting avid interest from bettors eager to predict his next team.
During Pro Bowl week, Henry himself acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding his impending free agency, stating, “This is the first time I’ve been a free agent, so we’ll see what happens.”
The betting odds, as offered by DraftKings Sportsbook, outline the potential destinations for Henry’s next chapter in the NFL. The Baltimore Ravens emerge as the frontrunners, with odds of +200. Following closely behind are the Philadelphia Eagles (+500) and the Dallas Cowboys (+550).
Former NFL linebacker turned analyst Bart Scott has touted the Ravens as an ideal fit for Henry. Additionally, Ravens Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey hinted at the prospect of Henry joining the team, suggesting a strong possibility of a trade prior to the deadline last season.
Henry’s accolades speak volumes about his prowess on the field. The 2015 Heisman Trophy winner secured first-team All-Pro honors after a standout season in 2020, during which he set a franchise record with 2,027 rushing yards.
Notably, Henry led the NFL in rushing yards in both 2019 and 2020, solidifying his status as one of the league’s premier running backs.
