Luke Getsy Talks About WR Davante Adams
Many players on the Silver and Black are excited to see what new offensive coordinator Luke Getsy can bring to the Las Vegas Raiders. One of those exciting players is wide receiver Davante Adams. Adams has a very close relationship with Getsy after spending many seasons with him and with the Green Bay Packers. On Friday, Getsey
had the chance to talk about Adams, the type of relationship, and where it started with the Packers. “Davante entered the world in Green Bay; that is how I was raised in this business, in that Mike McCarthy west coast style, and there’s the west coast is a general term now there’s a different flavor of it that everyone has kind of taken with and I think we’ll have our own as well.”
“When you’re working with a guy like Davante, I walked into a room as a young receiver’s coach and connected to him quickly. He was in the middle of a room with Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson, who had, you know, at the peaks of their career and accomplishing all these things and had been to Pro Bowls. Davante aspired to do that and more
and connected well, and our relationship was such that.” “You’re talking about one of the most spatial aware people I’ve ever been around and someone who’s able to take information and make the most of it, and that is Tae.” Adams finished with 554 receptions for 6,568 yards and 62 touchdowns with Getsy in Green Bay. It will be exciting to see how Getsy will use Adams for the Silver and Black offense next season. From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
