Patrick Bamford indicates how serious his sudden Leeds United injury before Swansea win is

Patrick Bamford has indicated that his knee injury isn’t “too bad” after he was replaced in the Leeds United starting XI vs Swansea, says Daniel Farke.

The Athletic’s Phil Hay reported via Twitter on 13 February, following the 4-0 win in South Wales, as the Whites boss gave an update on the last minute personnel switch before kick-off to say the 30-year-old didn’t believe it was a serious issue.

Bamford had been named on the team sheet to add to his recent run of starts up front but was swapped out for Joel Piroe, who scored the second goal on the night against his former side.

Hay wrote: “Farke says Bamford’s issue is with his knee, but not clear at this stage if it’s muscular or a ligament. Says Bamford indicated that he didn’t think it was too bad.”

Bamford has been in some of his best form for the club since he became an England international under Marcelo Bielsa, scoring five and assisting two in his seven starts across all competitions since the start of 2024.
