Interesting message in inbox as Leicester consider new contract for Vardy with termination close as Iheanacho looks to leave
Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho are both out of contract in the summer, with interesting message in inbox telling us one of them will be offered a new one year deal, while the other will most certainly will not, and is set to leave on a free.
With the current form of Patson Daka, on a contract running until the summer of 2026, and of course also having Tom Cannon as a third alternative, will see this duo together with Jamie Vardy all in the plans for next season.
With a policy of just playing one of the forward alternatives and not consider any of them as a flank alternative up front, it would difficult to balance the game time for as many as four players demanding game time.
Kelechi Iheanacho will be a free agent in the summer, but will most certainly be involved in games going forward, the interesting part is to see how much he will be involved with Cannon, Vardy and Daka all showing great form.
With the team cruising at the moment, it will be difficult to skip any of the other three, but we will wait and see how the fresh silvermedalist of AFCON will be used by Enzo Maresca until the end of the season.
The squad for next season will be one interesting as Enzo hopefully will build on most of the players at the club this season, but of course very interesting to see how he intends to build everything.
