Everton injury news as Arnaut Danjuma blow emerges on Saturday

Everton manager Sean Dyche has revealed that Arnaut Danjuma might not play again this month, as shared by the Liverpool Echo.

The news outlet revealed online (10 February) that while speaking after the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, Dyche confirmed that Danjuma was a doubt for upcoming games against Crystal Palace and Brighton.

Danjuma hasn’t been seen since limping off the pitch toward the end of the 0-0 draw with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Tuesday 30 January.

However, Dyche did confirm that the 27-year-old is progressing with his recovery efforts.

Troubles continue for Everton loanee Danjuma

It hasn’t been a memorable season for Danjuma at Goodison Park.

After starting four of Everton’s first seven Premier League matches following his arrival on loan from La Liga outfit Villarreal, Danjuma featured in just two of the club’s next 10 league matches, with both of those appearances coming from the bench.

Just when it appeared that the Dutchman was playing himself back into contention under Dyche after he featured in five consecutive league matches, he has now been hit with this major injury setback.

For Dyche, this will also come as a huge blow. The Toffees find themselves in big trouble with new boys Luton Town one point above them with a game in hand.

As long as they remain in the relegation zone, the pressure will mount around the club, and Dyche will need all the help that he can get to relieve that pressure.

Danjuma’s contributions certainly would’ve been a boost.
