Arsenal player moving for ‘almost nothing’ – Luton Town make last minute swoop to hijack, ‘no chance’ of success

Arsenal youngster Bradley Ibrahim is set to move to Germany, with Hertha Berlin sealing a deal for the player

Florian Plettenberg reports the versatile defensive player is set to leave Arsenal for ‘almost nothing’, and had the chance to sign for another Premier League club.

Luton Town made a last minute attempt to hijack the move to Hertha, but the German journalist claims the Hatters have ‘no chance’ of success.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Luton Town thought they had a good chance with their efforts, given they’d have been able to offer Ibrahim a stay in the Premier League and a relatively local move.

However, he’s set for Hertha Berlin instead.

The Bundesliga2 club are currently 10th out of 18 teams in the second division and their promotion prospects aren’t looking great at this stage.

However, Ibrahim obviously feels he can progress better there and will hope to get more minutes than would have been available at Luton Town.

The details of the move haven’t been revealed yet, but perhaps there’s a chance Arsenal will have a buyback clause or a percentage of a future deal.
