Insider Reveals What Deebo Samuel Told His Teammates About Injury
The San Francisco 49ers were able to come back in the second half to steal a win over the Green Bay Packers and advance to the NFC Championship game.
San Francisco squeezed out a 24-21 win, a hard-fought game that would’ve likely gone to overtime had Green Bay kicker Anders Carlson made a 41-yard field goal.
The Packers had a chance late in the fourth quarter to either tie or win the game but Jordan Love threw an ill-advised pass to the middle of the field that got picked off, ending the game.
The 49ers may not have played their best game, but they won and now get a chance to headline Super Bowl LVIII if they can beat the winner of the other Divisional Round game between the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
What made the win impressive was San Francisco managed to pull it off without Deebo Samuel who was ruled out of the second half after sustaining a shoulder injury.
Afterward, Adam Schefter reported that Samuel told some people on the team that he would be fine via ESPN.
“Essentially after the game, Deebo Samuel told some people in the 49ers locker room that he was going to be ‘OK,’” Schefter reported.
samuel’s one of the most physical players in the league and often delivers hard hits, but against Green Bay, he got banged up a couple of times before hurting his shoulder
