Titans Complete Coaching Interview With Lions DC Aaron Glenn

Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn had a virtual interview Friday with Tennessee Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk and general manager Ran Carthon. Glenn is one of 10 candidates competing for the Titans opening.

NASHVILLE– Tennessee Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk, general manager Ran Carthon, and team leadership are nine interviews into the hiring process to replace former coach Mike Vrabel.

Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn interviewed Friday for the Titans coaching vacancy. Glenn was interviewed via Zoom.

Glenn became the Lions defensive coordinator entering the 2021 season. He was recently named the top coordinator in the NFL this season in an NFLPA survey.

Glenn was an assistant defensive backs coach for the Cleveland Browns for one season from 2014 to 2015. He then worked as a defensive backs coach with the New Orleans Saints from 2016 to 2020 before joining the Lions staff.

Glenn played in the NFL for 15 seasons and went to three Pro Bowls.

The Titans have interviewed Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce, Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald,  Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown, Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, and Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson.

Former Stanford coach David Shaw will reportedly be interviewed this weekend. Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson also has an interview request. There are now 10 known candidates, as Pierce accepted the Raiders position full-time.
