Amid the ongoing issues off the pitch regarding compliance with the Profitability and Sustainability Regulations (PSRs), Nuno Espirito Santo and his side must shift their focus to the upcoming clash away at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday (5:30 pm kick-off).

Forest continued their strong form across all competitions against Blackpool in the FA Cup on Wednesday night, securing a 3-2 win in the replay thanks to a late goal from Chris Wood in extra time. Forest will now face Bristol City in the fourth round, which is set to take place on January 26.

The win extends their unbeaten run to four games following back-to-back victories against Newcastle United and Manchester United in their last two fixtures in the Premier League, marking a strong start to life in charge at the City Ground for Nuno as he looks to continue their rise through the rankings in the top flight of English football.

Heading into the clash, Forest will be without the obvious players away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations. Ibrahim Sangare, Willy Boly, and Serge Aurier all featured in Ivory Coast’s two-nil win against Guinea Bissau to kickstart their tournament, while Moussa Niakhate played 80 minutes for Senegal during the three-nil victory over Gambia.

His teammate Cheikhou Kouyate was limited to the bench in the win. Ola Aina was also in action for Nigeria, who drew 1-1 to Equatorial Guinea. Kouyate has since left the AFCON camp with Senegal to attend the funeral of his father in Dakar.
