ROB McElhenney has reacted to Wrexham AFC recording their highest league attendance in 44 years.

Since Rob and Ryan Reynolds took over the club in 2021, crowds at the SToK Cae Ras have increased significantly.

Last season the club averaged just under 10,000 for their home games, and have an average attendance of 10,575 this term.

That figure has been boosted by the recent addition of the temporary kop stand, which was introduced to allow more fans the chance to watch the Reds.

There have simply not been enough tickets for the current demand and interest in the club.

However, during Saturday’s clash against AFC Wimbledon at the Racecourse, there was a crowd of 12,478 – the largest in the league since 1980!

The attendance was the biggest in the division and was even bigger than most League One attendances
