saints Request Interview With Dan Pitcher for Offensive Coordinator Job
The Bengals’ coaching staff could look different next season.
CINCINNATI — The New Orleans Saints requested an interview with Bengals quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher for their offensive coordinator job according to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football.
Pitcher has played a key role in developing Joe Burrow. He also helped guide Jake Browning to a 4-3 record and successful end of the year after Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury.
Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan is interviewing for four different head coaching positions. If Callahan became a head coach, Pitcher would be a natural replacement. Losing both guys would be tough for Zac Taylor, Burrow and the Bengals’ offense.
Pitcher interviewed for the Buccaneers offensive coordinator job last season, but ultimately returned to Cincinnati.
