Gary O’Neil should consider dropping his pursuit of Chelsea striker Armando Broja and instead unleash an academy star.
Gary O’Neil confirmed that Wolves are looking for a new striker this month following the 3-2 victory over Brentford in the FA Cup.
There have been several names linked and one of those is Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
Wolves are considering a move for the 22-year-old, whose future at Stamford Bridge depends on whether Mauricio Pochettino lands a striker this month.
The Wanderers are said to be ‘long-term’ admirers of Broja and would only be able to afford him on a loan deal until the end of the season.
With Chelsea reportedly demanding at least £50 million for the forward, as per the Telegraph, that sort of money prices Wolves out of a move for him, but fear not, they could save millions by unleashing academy talent Nathan Fraser instead.

If many of a Wolves persuasion didn’t know who Fraser was at the start of the season, they certainly do now.
The 18-year-old is a clinical scorer who has been terrorising defences for the past few years in the youth set-up and is now beginning to follow that trend in the first team.
Fraser has scored 12 goals in 34 appearances for Wolves U21s and has now translated that form across to the senior side.
In the 5-0 thrashing of Blackpool in the Carabao Cup in August, the sensational teen grabbed a goal and an assist from the bench.
On Tuesday night, he was a super sub once more. This time he was called upon from the bench to grab the equaliser in the FA Cup replay against Brentford and he duly obliged, sending the game to extra time.
After winning the match in extra time through Matheus Cunha’s penalty, he was hailed as “fantastic” by O’Neil for the impact he made and has now supplied a goal contribution once every 35 minutes in three first-team appearanc
