JAN 11 HUGHES OUT The Houston Texans will be without defensive end Jerry Hughes on Saturday against the Cleveland Browns, as he attempts to recover from an ankle injury suffered in the regular season finale against the Colts.

However, he is not the only key Texans player in danger of missing the matchup, with seven other staters/major contributors – including rookie star Will Anderosn Jr. – also listed as questionable.

OUT: DE Jerry Hughes (ankle)

Questionable: DE Will Anderson (ankle), WR Noah Brown (back), DT Maliek Collins (hip), DE Jonathan Greenard (ankle), DT Sheldon Rankins (shoulder), WR Robert Woods (hip), FB Andrew Beck (calf)

Browns

OUT: S Grant Delpit (groin), K Dustin Hopkins (hamstring), WR Cedric Tillman (concussion)

Questionable:  CB Mike Ford (calf), RB Pierre Strong (back), FS Juan Thornhill (calf), CB Denzel Ward (shoulder, knee)

JAN 4 INJURED COLTS? Sunday’s matchup with the Colts has already seen injured Texans that won’t be able to participate. It’s an important game for both teams as they try to qualify for the playoffs. The Colts currently hold the  No. 7 and final spot, while the Texans are on the bubble at No. 8. They both have identical 9-7 records.

On Thursday, the Colts included six players who are questionable to play on Sunday.

Three offensive linemen — center Ryan Kelly (ankle), left guard Quenton Nelson (ankle) and right tackle Braden Smith (knee) — are among those with an injury designation of questionable. Smith practiced all day on Thursday but the others did not.

Cornerback Kenny Moore II (back), running back Zack Moss (forearm) and cornerback Chris Lammons (ankle) also are questionable.
