Wrexham enter transfer battle! Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney rivalling League One clubs for Cliftonville’s Ronan Hale

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Welsh club hope to strengthen in attack in the January transfer window and Football Insider reports they are tracking the 25-year-old. The Irish striker is also on the radar of a list of League One teams, with Derby, Portsmouth, Bolton, Blackpool and Peterborough all said to be tracking him, too.

Ronan Hale and Aaron Donnelly double deal for Larne and Cliftonville

Hale is enjoying a stellar season in Northern Ireland, having scored 11 goals in 14 games in all competitions this season for Cliftonville, carrying on his excellent form from the 2022-23 campaign in which he scored 29 times. He spent time in the Birmingham youth academy before leaving and enjoying spells at Crusaders, St. Patrick’s Athletic and Larne before joining Cliftonville.

Hale could be on his way back to the English Football League in the January transfer window as clubs line up for him. Wrexham are reported to be looking to bring in a new prolific attacker to boost their hopes of competing for the League Two title and secure promotion to League One.

WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?

Wrexham, who are just two points adrift of League Two leaders Stockport and have a game in hand, are in action against Wimbledon on Saturday. Their opponents are currently seventh in the table and looking to hold onto a place in the play-offs.
