Four More Players Signed to ‘Futures’ Contracts with Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals are continuing to have players putting pen to paper and signing with the franchise even though it’s only been two days into the offseason.
Arizona announced that four additional players are now under “futures” contracts after eight did so yesterday.
“Futures” contracts do not begin until the new league year begins on Mar. 13. All 12 players that have signed to these particular deals are now on the offseason roster until then.
Players signed to Future Contracts:
cornerback Darren Hall, wide receiver Daniel Arias, offensive lineman Austen Pleasants, cornerback/safety Verone McKinley III
Arias, Pleasants have spent time on the Cardinals’ practice squad, but never made their debuts for Arizona.
McKinley III played in the 2022 season for the Miami Dolphins, starting in two of the 10 games during the time he spent in Florida. He has an interception returned for 17 yards and 16 total tackles in his NFL career.
Pleasants played a game for the Los Angeles Chargers this season and another for the Carolina Panthers in 2021.
Hall played two seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, grabbed 72 tackles and a sack in 31 games during 2021-22. He was on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad this past season, but did not feature in a game.
